| Our Online Data Archiving service allows you to create a policy for Microsoft Exchange and Windows file servers, that safely and automatically archives inactive user e-mails and files that have not been accessed for a specified length of time. The file is moved to an offsite archive within our Data Centre facilities and replaced with a 'stub'. A user simply clicks on the stub, to recover the file. This is transparent to the user and requires no IT involvement. By only keeping the most recent files and e-mails on the local server, with old files on a remote archive, it reduces the load on the local server significantly. At the same time archived data is de-duplicated to ensure only one copy of any one file or e-mail is stored which adds to the already significant cost savings. |
