Managed Data Replication, Backup and Archiving for Business Continuity
|
| |
| Businesses face a number of growing data management challenges that have wide-ranging implications on operational efficiency, costs to deliver data & information to the business, and on business risk. All data management challenges originate from an uncontrollable data growth which combined with the following issues cause businesses to re-think their data management strategy: |
| |
 |
Server & storage availability and uptime |
 |
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: protection against server & storage outages |
 |
Capital cost to procure physical infrastructure |
 |
Operational costs (people, power and processes) |
 |
Legal & compliance requirements |
|
| |
| Our Multi-Tier Data Management (MDM) service offers you an integrated solution to your corporate data storage and security needs. Replicate, archive and backup the right data at the right time for the optimum cost, ultimate accessibility and security. |

| Major government departments, blue chip companies and medium-sized businesses alike are already experiencing business benefits such as: |
| |
|
|
| |
| The overall impact of our Multi-Tier Data Management philosophy is that our customers backup less, archive more and secure mission critical data. By utilising InTechnology’s unique hierarchical storage service, company’s can identify, categorise, police and manage their data based on type, age and value to the business. |
| |
| InTechnology will enable you to identify and police three main categories of data: |
| |
Ultra Critical Data – Data Replication
|
| |
This is typical transaction-based application data, where even a few hours of data loss can have a severe business impact.
All ultra-critical data will be replicated offsite as it’s created, then stored on high-availability / fail-over storage to reduce both the Recovery Point and Recovery Time Objectives. This allows for the highest level of Business Continuity. |
| |
Critical Data – Data Backup
|
| |
This is application/file data, which has been created or accessed in the last 90 days.
All critical data is backed up once a day to secondary hosted data storage for the purpose of online or onsite recovery of individual files & emails, full server restores or total data recovery. |
| |
Important and legacy data – Data Archiving
|
| |
This is all the inactive and legacy data sitting on the mail server, local email stores and on file servers, which needs to be protected for operational or compliance reasons.
The important and legacy data needs to be archived offsite, stored on low-cost tertiary storage and retained for the required period based on business / compliance policies. |
